At the corner of Main Street and Mill Street in the center of downtown Festus is Main & Mill Brewery, a lovely little eatery and brewery. Main & Mill is a beautiful two-story brick building with brick detailing on the top and large windows on the bottom floor. In the back there are several large outdoor covered patios that provide a great space to enjoy your food and drink outside. Inside there are tall ceilings, brick walls, wood beams, and metal accents. At the center of the room is the bar, along the outside walls large booths, and then tables scattered throughout the rest of restaurant and brewery. The decor consists of utilizing the natural elements of the space.

Main & Mill is both a brewery and a restaurant, and provides visitors with a nice array of good options of both beer and food. The food is classic pub-style, but elevated to incorporate some great flavors with daily specials, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and several entree dishes. When we visited we had a salad and the special of the day – an apple bourbon burger that was incredible! The burger was covered in a bourbon sauce with apples and onions, bacon, and cheese, and the flavors paired perfectly and deliciously together. We also had a tasting with four different beers and each one was light, good flavors, and well-balanced to create some great, drinkable beers. Both the meal and the beers were fantastic, and they offer pick-up! We definitely recommend visiting Main & Mill Brewery for tasty food and drinks.
