In the midst of winter, one of our favorite things to do is to try new coffee places to get a little extra warmth. We recently stopped by Deer Creek Coffee. There are two locations in the St. Louis area, one in Ladue and one in Richmond Heights. We visited the Richmond Heights location, which is situated in The Boulevard district. The coffee shop is located on the ground floor in a new build multi-story building. There are tables and chairs in the front for visitors to dine at, and once inside the decor is a simple black-and-white color scheme with an area for sitting. Along one side and the back wall is the kitchen area, a display case, and a place to order.
The menu changes frequently, but has a variety of coffee options, breakfast burritos, crepes (savory and sweet), classic breakfast entrees, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, smoothies, and pastries. When we visited we ordered a vanilla latte and the litzinger sandwich. Both the coffee and the sandwich were flavorful and well-made. We got the order for take-out and enjoyed it at a nearby park – making for a great afternoon treat!
