One of our absolute favorite distilleries is Pinckney Bend Distillery in New Haven, MO, which is about an hour west of St. Louis. The distillery is located in the small and quaint downtown area of New Haven in a one-story building as you enter the town. Although the distillery is in New Haven, their spirits can be found throughout the St. Louis area. The distillery has an assortment of gins and whiskeys, as well as vodka and canned cocktails. Although the tasting room is currently closed, Pinckney Bend has the option to get a tasting flight to go, which is an adorable little box filled with a variety of samples, a souvenir glass, a descriptive sheet, and canned cocktail. There are a variety of tasting flights to purchase, and when we visited we got the traditional flight. We found the spirits to be smooth, flavorful, and tasty! Since the riverfront is a short city block away, the distillery provided us with a bucket of ice and we sat along the river while we enjoyed our tasting and a chilled gin and tonic. It was absolutely delightful! The staff was friendly, the location was beautiful, and the spirits were fantastic! We both agreed that Pinckney Bend Distillery is not only one of our favorite distilleries, but also one of our favorite places we have visited in our adventures!
