Just outside of St. Louis in Eureka, MO is Six Flags St. Louis. The drive out to the park is quite nice as it provides views of the bluffs and the park is situated just off of highway 44, making it easy to get to from the highway. The park consists of Six Flags amusement park and Hurricane Harbor water park, providing visitors with two different opportunities. The theme of Six Flags St. Louis has shifted a bit over the years, but is centered around superheroes and the Looney Tunes.

Upon entering there is a large fountain and an array of buildings that look like a small downtown. The entire park is in a circle with cross pavements making it easy to get around. There is a large assortment of activities, such as children’s rides, roller coasters, shops, and shows in Six Flags. Directly to the right upon entering is Hurricane Harbor that is a full water park with a tidal pool, lazy river, slides, and water rides. The lazy river is fantastic and one of the main reasons we like to get passes!

Like Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags St. Louis has a few special events, such as fireworks for 4th of July, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park. The park is open March through December so for those who get a park pass you have 9 months to enjoy the park. We typically would just come at unusual hours and only stay for a short time and instead make more frequent short visits, enjoying the flexibility the pass gave us. For those in the St. Louis area who enjoy amusement parks, Six Flags St. Louis offers a nice assortment of entertainment.
