Sweets Week – Day 4

Perhaps one of the best bakeries in all of St. Louis is La Patisserie Choquette in the Botanical Heights neighborhood. La Patisserie Choquette is located on the corner in a brick building on the first floor with large windows that have a bright yellow trim. There are a few small tables and bright flowers outside providing a nice little outdoor dining space. Inside the decor is a basic black and white with gold accents. The room features a white tin roof tiles, black walls, white floors, an assortment of tables throughout the room, and decorative art along the wall.

La Patisserie Choquette has a wide assortment of baked goods and desserts, such as pain au chocolat, croissants, basque cheesecake, and macaroons, as well as a couple of drinks options, special order cakes, and cake tasting boxes. Thus far we have tried the salted caramel crepe cake, the basque cake, 7Up cake, and a choquette puff, as well as a specialty cake. We found each dessert to be rich and decadent, but our favorite was probably the choquette puff, which was delicious! Due to their incredible desserts, La Patisserie Choquette often sells out, so be prepared to order early. We definitely recommend visiting La Patisserie Choquette for some exquisite desserts.
