As holiday plans look a little different this year, a perfect place to go for your at-home celebration is G&W Meats. The butcher shop is located in the Tower Grove South neighborhood, right off of Kingshighway. It is housed in a small two-story brick building. Inside there is a small room filled with cabinets of various wurst freshly made. The shop specializes in Bavarian-style wursts, such as Weisswurst and Knackwurst, but they also offer other meats, such as Hungarian sausage or Polish sausage. Our favorite is probably the G&W Original Bratwurst, but we love grabbing some of those along with an assortment of new wurst varieties. G&W Meats has become a St. Louis staple since the families immigrated to St. Louis from Germany in the 1960s, making it a place generations have now visited. We both love stopping by the local butcher shop for some delicious well-made wursts.

Side Note: G&W Meats also provides meat processing, so for those who hunt, they do offer deer meat processing.
