Side Project Brewing began as a “side project” (hence the name) without its own brewery. Then, it added a delightful tasting room, the Side Project Cellar, where patrons could enjoy beers from Side Project and from other breweries around the country and the world. Finally, Side Project purchased and opened its own brewery just down the street from the Side Project Cellar. The brewery is located in a lovely old brick building that houses a tasting room in the front with brewing equipment in the back. The tasting room showcases the old architecture and materials of the building, with wood and metal accents adding a modern industrial vibe to the space. The wooden rafters are a particularly nice element. Several windows and some light colors make the tasting room bright and airy, while the small space and rustic elements lend a cozy feeling.

At the back of the tasting room, windows overlook the brewing space, highlighting the shiny metal of the equipment and racks of barrels holding beer. A small patio within the building provides patrons a closer look of the brewery.
