STL Restaurant Week – Day 5
A delicious restaurant in downtown St. Louis is Mango Peruvian. Mango is situated at the bottom of a multi-story stone and brick building with detailed architectural features. The restaurant wraps around the corner lot providing visitors with an assortment of opportunities to have a nice window seat. Inside there are two main rooms, both with wood floors and high ceilings. We were seated in a nice little window seat along the street, providing us views of Washington Avenue.

During our visit we started with the plantain chips and accompanying dip that is complimentary, fun, and delicious. We also ordered a glass of wine, as well as some Inca Cola – it was delightful as always. For dinner we had the pollo en salsa de mango and the anticuchos with a side. Each dish was absolutely delectable with the perfect pairing of flavors and well-prepared. After having lived and since visited Peru several times, Mango Peruvian did not disappoint and provided a great way to experience Peruvian cuisine even in St. Louis.
