STL Restaurant Week – Day 4
A lovely eatery in St. Louis is the London Tea Room. The London Tea Room is located in the Tower Grove South neighborhood and is, as the name suggests, focused on a British tea experience. The little eatery and tea shop is located on the corner in a two-story brick building with a rounded entryway. During the warmer months there are an assortment of tables and chairs for visitors to sit at. Once inside visitors enter in the first room, which is small and divided into three informal sections – seating in the front, the little tea shop and accessories along the side, and the checkout and food display in the back. The decor is simple and quaint with hard wood floors, warm pastel paint colors, exposed wood beams in the ceiling, and cabinets along the wall filled with an assortment of bright colored tea accessories or jars filled with tea. There is a second room in the back where private parties are often held – and their team is lovely to work with!

We have had the pleasure of visiting a couple times, and each time the shop has been busy, but worth the short wait for a table. The London Tea Room has a large assortment of teas, including, black, green, oolong, red, herbal, and white, as well as other beverages if you choose. Since we love white tea and it is not as readily available, we have ordered white tea each time – trying the White Peony and the Mango Pear White. We loved both the white teas we tried so much, we ended up ordered their loose leaf tea to enjoy it even at home. Besides tea, The London Tea Room has a variety of savory and sweet treats, such as a pasty or scones. Although everything we have tried has been delicious – the Lemon Blueberry Cake is our absolute favorite!
Side Note: The London Tea Room allows you to order online and pick-up!
