STL Restaurant Week – Day 3

A delightful little restaurant located in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood is Kounter Kulture. The restaurant is a small take-out only restaurant located next to Pietro’s along Watson. Outside the restaurant is a little square shaped building with a bright green walls and a roof that hangs over all of the sides.  There are a couple of tables and chairs along one side of the restaurant, as well as a bar-top with stools, providing limited seating. Inside there is enough room for only a few people to order and wait, the ordering table centered in the middle, and the open-air kitchen visible to visitors.

The menu is small, but mighty as they say, and also rotates based on seasonal ingredients. The cuisine is focused on Asian fusion and brings together an assortment of dishes prepared in an artisanal and delightful way. During our most recent visit we ordered the pulled chicken bibimbap. The dish was delicious, well-prepared, and artfully displayed. Additionally, while ordering and preparing our food they took great consideration into a food allergy we notified them, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we had a lovely experience at Kounter Kulture and encourage those in the area to definitely try some of their delicious takeout.
