Located just a few blocks from our house is LeGrand’s Market & Catering, also known as Tom Boy via the large neon sign. LeGrand’s Market & Catering is located in St. Louis Hills and is in a one-story art-deco-style brick building with a few tables outside for visitors to sit at. The little market is a classic old-style market with a large deli counter for people to order an assortment of meats from, as well as a place to order a sandwich. In the middle there is some seating for visitors to enjoy their sandwiches, and then along the walls and on the left side of LeGrands is a small market that includes a variety of basic goods, including St. Louis goodies such as local brews or gooey butter cake. LeGrand’s Market & Catering is a fun little local shop to grab some groceries or a bite to eat in the St. Louis Hills/Lindenwood Park neighborhood, making it prefect for grabbing a quick picnic lunch together for the various free activities in the park.
