Donut Drive-In is located in a small shop at the corner of Chippewa and Watson and is a south St. Louis institution. It isn’t hard to spot the small building. It has a plain white facade, but there are several large signs on the building and on the street that advertise the establishment’s donuts. On nice weekend mornings, you can also spot Donut Drive-In by the long line running out the front door.

Inside, there is a small space for patrons and a long glass case with different kinds of donuts. Behind the counter, employees move quickly between patrons and donuts, as others continue to make donuts in the back. Many of the donuts are old-fashioned, such as cake donuts, eclairs, and jelly-filled donuts. All of these donuts are fresh and taste better than other, more mass-produced varieties. You can also grab some coffee to go with your donuts if you like, but make sure to bring cash unless you want to buy a dozen donuts. Overall, Donut Drive-In is a fun place to go to grab a donut on a weekend morning (or anytime!).
