Vienna is full of attractions that highlight the Habsburg empire, and the Hofmobiliendepot is, as the name translates, focused on the imperial furniture collection. The Hofmobiliendepot is situated a little bit outside of the innere stadt, but still near the Ringstraße. Depending on where you are in the city, the museum is also easily accessible by the U Bahn. The museum is set back from the main road and accessible through a quaint little courtyard.

The museum has numerous rooms that demonstrate just how extensive the Habsburg’s collection was. The museum includes works of art, sculptures, and furniture that also reflect cultural shifts in designs. Throughout the museum the furniture is exquisite, and are truly works of art. Besides the permanent exhibits they also have visiting exhibits that highlight different forms of furniture design and style. When we visited there was a section focused on famous Austrian furniture designers Loof, Hoffman, and Wagner Additionally there is a section for children to play at. Tickets are around $11, which we found to be wroth every penny. During our visit we leisurely strolled throughout the museum and were able to see the entire museum in a couple of hours.
