St. Louis Restaurants – Day 3

A popular Saint Louis restaurant that now has five locations is Salt + Smoke. We have always visited the St. Louis Hills location since it is within walking distance of our house, but there is also the original location in University City, as well as St. Charles, Central West End, and Ballpark Village. Salt + Smoke is known for their bbq as well as their assortment of bourbon and beer, making it ideal for dinner, or grabbing a drink with friends.

The St. Lois Hills location is a two-story brick and glass building that has a little outdoor seating. Inside the room is divided into two main rooms, the bar and dining areas, as well as some upstairs seating. The decor is fairly simple with mirrors along the wall and industrial-style light bulbs. Usually we have been seated in the bar and found the atmosphere to warm and cozy. The menu consists of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entree plates, as well as sides and desserts. Each time we have visited, we have found their food flavorful and well-made, the atmosphere relaxing and nice, and the service good making for a great neighborhood restaurant.
