St. Louis Restaurants – Day 2

Throughout the St. Louis metro area there are a plethora of Imo’s Pizza restaurants, which are known for featuring St. Louis-style pizza. The St. Louis chain opened in 1964 and has now extended throughout the state of Missouri, as well as Kansas and Illinois. Usually we have visited the location just south of Forest Park that is situated in an small brick building and has two small rooms to sit in. The location makes it easily accessible for those who are visiting park, and would like to grab some St. Louis style pizza. Imo’s restaurants are typically low-key, casual dining atmospheres, making for a relaxed dinner, but they also offer take-out and delivery. Although pizza is the focal point, Imo’s also offers appetizers, salads, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts.  Their pizza is similar to Cecil Whittaker’s, but is a little more spicy. As fans of St. Louis-style pizza we love to try different takes on the style.
