St. Louis Restaurants – Day 1

This week we decided to highlight five different classic St. Louis restaurants and will start with Uncle Bill’s Pancake House, which has been part of St. Louis for almost 90 years. Uncle Bills is still situated in its first location along Kingshighway, as well as a second location in Manchester. Both inside and outside the restaurant’s architecture reflects an English tudor or Bavarian-style decor. Inside there are several dimly lit rooms for visitors to sit-in with an assortment of cozy old booths, and wooden tables. After being seated, visitors are greeted by friendly servers, some who have been there for generations.

The menu is quite extensive and features as assortment of standard items, such as pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, burgers, and much more. Although we have been numerous times, we tend to stick to our favorites – the burgers, pancakes, and crepes, which are all delicious. Uncle Bill’s also has the perfect diner coffee, which is ideal for the relaxed atmosphere that allows you to be able to sink into a booth and enjoy several cups of coffee. The restaurant is open 24-hours, making it easy to stop by at any point and enjoy the classic St. Louis dining experience.
