On our way to Waukesha, WI we had the pleasure of grabbing lunch at Mary’s Market in Rockford, IL. We were approaching the toll and had no idea how much it cost, and little cash with us, so we branched off the highway and across the street from the bank was Mary’s Market. There are a few locations in the area, but we visited the Perryville cafe, which was quite easy for a short detour along the way for those driving between the St. Lois metro area and Wisconsin.
Inside the room had a large display case with an assortment of delicious-looking pastries, tables throughout, and a fireplace situated in the back. Mary’s Market has an assortment of menu items for breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. The menu is quite diverse providing a variety of options for visitors, including eggs, pancakes, french toast, omelettes, salads, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, flatbreads, and an assortment of other items. Since we visited for lunch we tried the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Tropical Mango Salad, which were both filling and tasty. We both enjoyed our visit to Mary’s Market, and are looking forward to returning to try and assortment of pastries and coffee.
