The Royale Food & Spirits is located right off of Kingshighway along the corner just a block away from Tower Grove Park. Visitors can find The Royale by searching for the large painted fleur-de-lis or bright purple neon sign. The building itself is a two-story brick-painted building with a small seating area in the back. Inside the room there is muted multi-color walls, a tin ceiling, and low-lighting. The bar is situated at the center of the restaurant and serves as the focal feature of the room, while there are booths around the outside of the room.

Since we hadn’t been in a few years we decided to revisit with a friend since they offer a nice variety of vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is a twist of classic pub-fare. When we visited our party had the pulled jerk chicken sandwich, the greens salad, the brussels sprouts salad, jackfruit salad, tacos, and a daily special. Although they have a food menu, they also have beer, and an extensive cocktail menu. The Royale provides those in the neighborhood with an opportunity to grab a drink and vegetarian/vegan options, as well as more standard pub-fare. Since The Royale is a block away from the park, so visitors can always head to the park afterwards for a nice stroll.
Side Note: When we visited there were five of us, and there was only one table large enough to accommodate our party size. In general, The Royale is better situated for smaller parties.
