A lovely little park in one of our favorite neighborhoods is Lafayette Park in the the Lafayette Square neighborhood. Lafayette Park is surrounded by incredible Victorian homes with ornate architecture. Visitors can walk around the park to enjoy the architecture, or venture into the park where there is a pond, a few historic structures, a a playground, grotto, a baseball field, and trails that wander throughout the park. A particularly unique feature about Lafayette Park is that the baseball field serves as the home for vintage baseball games. Throughout the year there are also events in the park including concerts and movies, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a free even in a the lovely park setting.

The park is located right off of Park Avenue, which is home to a variety of shops and restaurants. Visitors can stroll along Park Avenue and grab a bite to eat, or step into a little shop. One of our favorite places along Park Avenue, is Forrest Gallery, which offers an assortment of lovely St. Louis art. We have had the pleasure of trying Square One, Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, and Mayo Ketchup. Each restaurant has been a nice experience, and afterwards visitors can enjoy a stroll along Park Avenue or in the park.
