Stacked Burger Bar is, as the name says, a restaurant specializing in varieties of burgers. The restaurant is located in south St. Louis in an old brick storefront. The facade of the building is a typically charming brick structure. Because Stacked resides on the corner of the block, large windows wrap around two sides of the buildings, making the interior bright and airy. There are multiple rooms inside the restaurant; the main room retains much of the old features of the building. In addition to the tables and chairs scattered around the space, a small bar sits at one end of the room. Overall, the space is nice, especially for those who appreciate old St. Louis-style buildings.

Stacked is known for having good burgers. In fact, the name “stacked” refers to the different ingredients that guests can stack on top of their burgers (or sides). The restaurant offers more than ten of its own styles of burgers, featuring a variety of ingredients. If you don’t find anything that suits your tastes, however, Stacked also allows guests to build their own burger with as few or as many ingredients as you like. In addition to several side options that come with the burgers, Stacked also has some appetizer options, salads, and a few other entrees. The restaurant also has veggie burger options for vegetarians. Finally, Stacked also has a nice selection of local beers, liquor, and mixed drinks.

During our visit, we tried one of Stacked’s own burgers and built one of our own; both were good burgers. We also enjoyed two different sides–a salad and fries. Overall, the environment and the food were good, making Stacked a nice place to grab a burger in St. Louis.
