Recently we had the pleasure of trying a delicious gem on The Hill, Guido’s Pizzeria & Tapas. Unlike other restaurants in The Hill that are focused specifically on Sicilian cuisine, Guido’s Pizzeria & Tapas incorporates more cuisine from the middle of Italy and Spanish cuisine. The restaurant is located on the corner in a nice, two-story brick building with archways all across. During the warmer months there is nice outdoor seating, and inside there are several rooms visitors can be seated in. When we visited we were seated in the front room, which has a cozy setting with a large stone fireplace and wooden beams across the ceiling. Throughout the restaurant there is family photos decorating the walls.

Their menu is quite extensive and includes antipasti, salad, pasta, large entrees, panini, cold tapas, hot tapas, tapas assortments, and pizza. When we visited we decided to try an assortment of dishes, along with some delicious bread. We had the croquetas caseras, queso mancehego con membrillo, and ensaladilla rusa, which were all absolutely delicious! The meal paired perfectly with a tempranillo, making for a lovely night out.
