New York City Park Week – Day 2

A fun New York park is Bryant Park located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan in the Midtown South neighborhood. Like Union Square Park, Bryant Park has several subways running through making it easily accessible. Half of the park is the New York public library, providing a nice, grand architectural view. The center of the park is an expansive open field, surrounded by tree-lined sidewalks. Opposite of the library is a large water fountain, helping to drown out some of the city noise. Besides providing some natural space, Bryant Park has a few small restaurants and cafes, ping pong, and monuments, as well as various events throughout the year. Due to its location, and numerous outdoor tables-and-chairs, Bryant Park is quite crowded, particularly during the lunch hour, making it a better spot for stopping off and grabbing a bite for lunch, than perhaps trying to get away in nature.
