Fall Festivals & Events – Day 3
Urban Chestnut bills itself as a German brewery, offering both traditional styles and more modern takes on those styles. Corresponding to its beer styles, Urban Chestnut hosts an Oktoberfest every fall at its Midtown location. The event has grown quite popular, with visitors filling the long tables outside the brewery to quaff German-style ales and lagers and eat traditional German food. While the brewery continues to have a lengthy tap list, there are additional taps flowing at different areas of the festival, usually featuring Urban Chestnut’s more traditional German-style beer, such as their Bavarian weissbier, Schnickelfritz. These areas also have food, including pretzels and bratwurst. Many of the guests relax and socialize with friends at the long communal tables, although seats are sometimes hard to find. If that’s the case, you can check out the band that Urban Chestnut usually has playing at the festival. With the combination of German food, beer, and music, Urban Chestnut offers a nice Oktoberfest in St. Louis featuring local products and a chance for St. Louisans to come together. We recommend visiting Urban Chestnut for their Oktoberfest this fall.
