Vienna Week – Day 3

Earlier this week we wrote on the Schönbrunn Palace and the extensive gardens visitors can explore, one aspect of the gardens is the accompanying zoo, or Tiergarten. The zoo is located on the former palace grounds and is the oldest zoo in the world. There is a fee to enter the zoo, but if you have the Vienna pass you can enter using that. The zoo has an extensive assortment of critters from all over, ensuring all visitors experience their favorite critters. There is also various feeding times for visitors to watch, animal encounters for visitors to partake in, and different events throughout the year, allowing visitors to experience the critters in many ways.

The zoo is well-maintained for visitors to stroll throughout, but there is also a panoramic tram for visitors to explore the zoo. Additionally, there are several different restaurants in the zoo for visitors to grab a bite to eat, providing a nice experience for visitors. We have visited a couple times and each time we have been impressed by the assortment of animals we are able to see, and the pleasant atmosphere of the zoo.
