Vienna Week – Day 2

Cafe Sacher is perhaps one of the most famous cafes in all of Vienna because of the Sacher torte. Although there have been disputes regarding ownership of the decadent chocolate torte, the Sacher Hotel has legally been given the status to claim. The cafe is situated inside the Hotel Sacher, which is in the first district, making it centrally located. The cafe has a section specifically for hotel guests, and then the main Cafe Sacher. Outside the cafe there is a a nice patio for visitors to sit at and enjoy. Inside the room consists of mirrors all over the walls, bright red and white accents on the walls and booths. We have sat both inside and enjoyed both experiences. During one of our visits we sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze that the Danube brings and the delicious sacher torte, with a perfect kaffee, or coffee, while another visit we snuggled inside a booth and enjoyed the ornately decorated room.
