A simple little treat that adds to any meal is Rosemary chips that we tried from a little booklet we received during the Genuss-Festival in Wien, Austria. The festival highlights different regional cuisine, and provides visitors the opportunity to explore Austrian cuisine. During the festival visitors can grab samples and recipes. This recipe was one put out by a combination of the government and the EU. These are basically potato chips, but healthier and easy to make.
Items Needed:
-Potatoes
-Olive Oil
-Paprika
-Salt
-Rosemary
-Pepper
Cut the potatoes in thin slices, aiming for about 1/8 of an inch in thickness. After slicing the potatoes, rub olive oil on the bottom of the baking sheet and lay the potatoes on top, being sure not to have any overlap. Rub olive oil over the top of the potatoes. Sprinkle spices on the top of the potatoes to taste. Bake at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes, or until the potatoes are fully cooked and start to get a bit crispy. The potatoes are an excellent side dish, or can be saved as an easy snack for later.
