NYC Restaurant Week – Day 1
Since it is getting colder out we decided to have our very own New York City Restaurant Week and feature different restaurants that provide a nice getaway from the cold. This week we will focus on some of the absolute best restaurants of NYC. Cosme is located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan and continues to be one of not only New York’s best restaurants, but the world. New York is home to a couple of restaurants listed on the top 50 restaurants in the world and Cosme is ranked number 40. After visiting Cosme, we understand the hype.
The outside of Cosme is a bit non-assuming, but once inside you are in a large, sleek room with wood tables, light lighting, and pops of greenery on the tables. The restaurant boasts of modern Mexican cuisine that utilizes fresh ingredients from the Hudson Valley. Cosme is known as a tapas restaurant, so we visited Cosme when a friend came to New York City to see us and we ordered several plates to share. We tried the herb guacamole, the enmoladas, and the cobia al pastor, as well as a couple of cocktails. Everything was artisan prepared and the mix of textures and flavors was absolutely phenomenal, ensuring that we had a delightful dining experience.
