Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area is a small natural area located just outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Although the park is near the Susquehanna River, Boyd Big Tree’s main attraction is the sweeping hills of forested trees. The park contains several short hiking trails, which can be added together to form longer walks or done individually if you only have a brief time to be outside. Whichever hiking trail you choose, you’ll have a pleasant amble through the woods. One of these trails passes by a small pond, so be on the lookout for any wildlife. Although it is a small park, Boyd Big Tree is a fair place to stretch your legs and enjoy a bit of nature.

Be advised that Boyd Big Tree allows hunting during certain parts of the year, so be sure to plan ahead and wear bright colors if you plan on visiting then.
