In the Lafayette Square neighborhood is Square One Brewery & Distillery, which is a brewery, distillery, and restaurant. Square One sits on a corner in a beautiful two-story brick building, with a small decorated entryway. Visitors enter in the bar that has a ornate rounded glass window that opens up to the street. The room is filled with bright yellow walls, old photographs, and high top tables. Continuing through the bar, you pass brewing equipment and enter the dining room, which utilizes the same decor and wall color, but dining seating instead. The dining room looks out to a half covered patio that features a lovely water feature and plants.

We have visited a couple times and like the variety that Square One provides, as well as the outdoor patio. Visitors can come for drinks or dinner, and have a variety of options as they specialize in both beer and a variety of spirits. Square One’s food options focus on pub-style food, allowing visitors to find various classics that sometimes incorporates the local beverages. Since we have visited a couple times we have tried quite a few dishes and found them to be decent pub food. Since Square One has a variety of options and a beautiful outdoor patio it makes for a great relaxed meal.
