Located just about five miles off of interstate 80 in Falls Creek, PA is Laurel Mountain Winery. The winery looks like an old farmhouse and is painted a light blue. Laurel Mountain Winery is seated along some hills, providing a nice setting. Upon entering the winery, visitors enter a narrow room with a wine bar on one side and rows of wine bottles on the other. Besides a tasting room there is a gift shop upstairs with a variety of wine-focused goods, including supplies to make wine. There is also a covered outdoor patio for events.
When we visited we participated in a wine tasting and primarily had red wines, which were quite nice. Our favorite was the Rattlesnake Red, which we purchased a bottle of; however, we also bought a bottle of the Cayuga, a nice, light white wine with a variety of of fresh flavors. Overall, we enjoyed all of the wines, and agreed that Laurel Mountain Winery was a great stopping point.
