We decided to sweeten up some butternut squash and created this lovely little side dish.

Ingredients:

-1 Butternut Squash

-Olive Oil

-Brown Sugar

-Cinnamon

-Nutmeg

-Dried Cranberries

Begin by scooping out the seeds in the butternut squash and then peel the outside of the squash. After, dice the squash into little squares. Next place oil in a frying pan and begin to heat up the oil. Afterwards, place the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to taste in a frying pan. Then add the butternut squash to pan until it has softened, add dried cranberries, and heat up for another minute or so. You are left with a sweet squash side dish that pairs nicely with wild rice.

Side Note: You could always add a little onion to the dish to add more complexity of flavors.
