Kirkwood Station Brewing Company takes its name from the historic train station just down the street from the brewery. The brewery functions as both a brewery and a restaurant, and it offers other amenities as well. When you walk into the brewery, you can go to your left to enjoy live music, when they have it, billiards, and other games. To the right, is the restaurant, which is a rather plain, but welcoming room, with warm paint on the walls and dark wooden tables. The restaurant serves typical pub food, such as burgers and pizzas, plus appetizers like toasted ravioli, nachos, and wings. As with most pub food, the portions are hearty.
The restaurant also has a large bar with plenty of taps, along with a window that overlooks brewing equipment, a reminder that Kirkwood Station is, first and foremost, a brewery. The brewery has a large selection of their beers to choose from, with an emphasis on many different styles of beer, so you’ll usually find anything from an IPA to a sour, from a pilsner to a stout.
If you’re in the Kirkwood area and want some pub food and a pint, Kirkwood Station is an option to check out.
