STL Restaurant Week – Day 2

St. Louis has it’s own particular pizza style that consists of an ultra thin crust with provel cheese. In St. Louis there here are several different St. Louis pizza chains that specialize in the pizza style, and one of them is Cecil Whittaker’s.  There are Cecil Whittaker’s locations throughout St. Louis, and growing up there was a Cecil Whittaker’s down the street from Margaret’s house so it became a fun family tradition. Some Cecil Whittaker’s locations have seating in the restaurant, while others are only for pick-up or delivery.

Their pizza is similar to a wafer cracker, with a hint of tomato sauce, and a nice layer of provel cheese, with minimal seasoning. Unlike other pizza, Cecil Whittaker’s is not nearly as heavy, which we both enjoy. Additionally, Cecil Whittaker’s has an array of sandwiches, salads, pastas, and appetizers that are definitely tasty, so even if you don’t like pizza, Cecil Whittaker’s has an array of food options.  Before we moved back to St. Louis Margaret’s parents would always order Cecil Whittaker’s for us since they knew we missed it so it became a fun treat. Now, we are glad that we can pick it up any time we want a fun evening.
