Forest Park is not only an incredible St. Louis park, it is also home to a variety of attractions. One of the smaller attractions in size, but iconic St. Louis attractions is the Jewel Box. The Jewel Box is a large greenhouse, that displays a variety of plant life. Recently, the greenhouse has become a popular wedding destination; however, the Jewel Box is also available simply for visits. The cost to visit the Jewel Box is $1, yes, $1, as well, it is free all day Mondays, and Tuesday mornings. We visited on a Sunday and were the only other patrons at the greenhouse, allowing us to leisurely walk around the room and take some pictures. Additionally, the outside of the Jewel Box is nicely decorated, making it a nice feature to visit even if someone is utilizing the space. The Jewel Box helps to provide some needed reprieve during the cold winter months, by providing a warm space, full of plant life, as well as a lovely array of flowers during the warmer months. Throughout the year, there are also rotating flower displays based on the season, ensuring there is something new to see with each visit! The Jewel Box is rather small and takes only about 20 minutes to see; however, it definitely is a St. Louis gem.
