A popular St. Louis area attraction is Eckert’s farm. There are actually three locations, in Belleville, Millstadt, and Grafton. We have visited each the Belleville and Millstart locations, but the Millstadt is perhaps our favorite.

The Belleville location is located just over the river, making it easier to get to. The Belleville location offers a country store, restaurant, u-pick options that change throughout the year, a custard stand, a garden center, concerts, and children’s activities, as well as seasonal activities such as a petting zoo or miniature golf. Additionally, the Belleville Eckert’s is free entry to so visitors can pop by and just grab a pumpkin or a bite to eat, or spend several hours at the farm picking their own fruits and partaking in the farm’s activities. Since the Belleville location is free and easier to get to however it is typically bustling with people.

The Millstadt location is a bit off the beaten path, but provides a whole afternoon worth of activities. There is an entrance fee into the Millstadt Eckerts, but once inside all activities are free. Directly to your right when you enter is a nice view of St. Louis. The farm offers a variety of activities including u-pick options, a corn maze, bonfire pits, a general store, pig races, hayrides, a pumpkin cannon, a petting zoo, children’s rides, a giant slide, and different shows throughout the day, as well as places to grab a bit to eat. We recently visited to pick some of our own apples and had a great time exploring the farm, going through a corn maze, and getting some fresh fruit, as well as snapping a nice picture of St. Louis.
