We recently had the pleasure of attending the Lebanese Festival in the neighborhood of La Salle Park in downtown St. Louis. The festival takes place at the St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral and is typically held in mid-September. The Cathedral is a fairly expansive property with several buildings and a large outdoor space. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is ideal since September weather in St. Louis can be a wide range. This year the temperatures were in the 90s, thus, the indoor banquet room provided reprieve from the heat if needed. There is plenty of parking and the event is free, making it a great way to learn more about Lebanese culture.

The festival provides music, dancing, food, vendors, and the opportunity to see the Cathedral. There is a stage, as well as a variety of stands with Lebanese food, as well as gifts, such as plants or clothing items. There is also a large assortment of food, ensuring visitors can partake in a variety of Lebanese dishes, as well as beverages. We had the pita, hummus, Lebanese beer, grape wrap, and a variety of desserts, which were all delicious. When we visited we grabbed some food, sat outside and enjoyed the music, and then headed in to see the beautiful Cathedral. We visited with family and each had a lovely time at the Lebanese Festival.
