Just off of Washington Square Park, is Fiorella LaGuardia Park or more commonly known as, LaGuardia Park. LaGuardia Park is a less frequented park, and, thus, a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Washington Square Park. Every day for the past year we have enjoyed visiting the restaurants along the little park, as well as bringing in our lunch and sitting outside in every season to take in some fresh air and eat our lunch. Along the park there is restaurants such as Favela Cubana, Bareburger, Mille-Feuille, Tre Giovani, and DŌ Cookie Dough Confections. The park is fairly small, but offers large trees, a plethora of park benches, a statue of the former mayor (LaGuardia), and a small playground. Additionally, if you look closely, inside the the tree and vine patches, there are tiny little foot trails from the small city mice that dart to and from their holes. They are absolutely adorable and we both had a nice time watching them. At the end of the park there is a large community garden as well, providing some beautiful blooms through the year. The park may be small, but for the past year it has been a lovely place to get some fresh air and enjoy a relaxing lunch.
