A New York City classic is Juniors Cheesecake. Although, we only lived a little over a mile from the original location, we just recently were able to visit. Junior’s Cheesecake, is known for cheesecake as the same suggests, but the Junior’s is also a diner-style restaurant. The restaurant, now a small New York City chain, has become a staple for New Yorkers and visitors. Additionally, for those who are not in the New York City area or will not be visiting any time soon, they deliver, so you can experience some delicious New York City cheesecakes too. Also, if you don’t like cheesecake they offer an array of other desserts as well, ensuring every visitor will find something they like.

The original location, which began in 1950, has expanded and is now an extensive restaurant with several different rooms. The inside decor reflects the diner vibe with bright red, neon signs, and booths When we visited we were luckily seated right in a window seat that allowed us to peer out and watch the city go by. Although they offer an array of diner-style food, we came for the cheesecake and each ordered a piece; however, the pieces are enormous, so we both ended up taking half of our cheesecake home. The cheesecake itself was delicious and we both agreed it lived up to the hype.
