Randolph Beer is a craft beer bar and brewery with three locations scattered around the New York City area. We visited the location in DUMBO, which is set amongst several new buildings between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. The brewpub is ultra-modern and industrial, with lots of concrete, glass, and metal. There are lots of clean lines, geometric designs around the bar, and picnic tables for family-style seating. Glass all around the brewpub lets in lots of light, as well as allows visitors to see the shiny brewing equipment. The modern vibe extends even to the ordering process–visitors can still order beer from the bar or waiter, but they can also order a certain number of ounces of beer from a digital screen, then dispense the beers themselves from taps along the wall.

Randolph has a number of different beer options, including both their own beers, as well as other craft beers. We decided to try one of Randolph’s beers and another from the New York area, and we found both to be enjoyable. However, their taps change frequently, so there are always lots of new options. Randolph also has a food menu, with lots of appetizers to pair with your beer, such as pretzels and hot wings, but also sandwiches, burgers, and bowls with meat, vegetables, and grains. We split the roasted cantina corn and found it delightful and flavorful. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t get to have more. Although we haven’t been to all three locations, they all seem to offer a similar experience. Randolph Beer is a nice place to grab a beer and some food with friends.
