Le Pain Quotidien is a chain of restaurants located in several major cities throughout the Untied States, as well as throughout the world. Each location has its own menu, so our visit was based the Le Pain Quotidien on 5th Avenue, just north of Washington Square Park. The restaurant chain was started in Brussels and has a cafe style feel where visitors can sit down inside or outside and be waited on, or grab something to go. The menu has an array of breads, breakfast options, baked goods, salads, tartines, soups, desserts, and some other warm dishes, as well as a vast array of beverages. We had a couple of tartines that were each quite tasty and nicely presented. WhenĀ we visited it was very busy during the lunch hour and service was a bit slow, so we recommend not going if you are in a hurry. Overall, we enjoyed Le Pain Quotidien for providing a relaxed dining environment with some light, healthy treats.
