Rattle N Hum is a pair of bars in Midtown Manhattan, one near Times Square, the other in the shadow of the Empire State Building. The bars are known for their extensive craft beer lists, as both bars feature forty taps for craft beer, as well as much longer bottle and can lists. We visited the location near the Empire State Building, Rattle N Hum East, in order to try some specific beers that we had noted were on tap. The bar itself is a large, open room with dark lighting, lots of wood, and exposed brick. You can’t mistake it for anything other than a craft beer bar as beer logos, signs, and other paraphernalia are scattered around the space. There is a large bar area, but we opted to sit in the back at one of the large, community-style tables. We were very happy that we got to try two rather hard-to-find beers, but there were plenty of other beers that we would have been happy to try, which speaks to both the quality and quantity of beers that Rattle N Hum offers. Rattle N Hum also offers lots of typical pub fare, and we tried their buffalo chicken caesar wrap, which was quite tasty. Overall, we had a nice experience at Rattle N Hum and found it an enjoyable place to grab a beer, especially if you’re looking for a wide variety or rare craft beers.
