One of the best part of Brooklyn Heights is access to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The park stretches along the waterfront providing incredible views of the city. There are six piers that jut out from the park and each pier provides different activities for visitors to enjoy. The park offers playgrounds, basketball courts, gardens, volleyball courts, dog runs, a carousel, soccer fields, fishing, beaches, picnic tables and grills, greenways, handball courts, grass lawns, bocce courts, fitness equipment, shuffleboard courts, a roller rink, and paths for walking, biking, and running, as well as the opportunity to take in some incredible. Additionally, the park has different events throughout the year for visitors to partake in, such as the opera or outdoor movies, providing a wide variety of activities for park visitors.

There are also some fantastic restaurants and shops along the park making it a great place to grab a bite to eat. Along the park is multi-use building in Dumbo with several shops, restaurants, an event venue space, and a second location of the Brooklyn Heights historical society providing visitors with a congregated area to enjoy the park, a bite to eat, some history, and incredible views.

Side Note: ToĀ get to the park visitors can either go to the Dumbo waterfront or head down the Squibb Park bridge from Brooklyn Heights. Additionally, there is ferry access to Manhattan and Governor’s Island from the park making the park easily accessible.
