Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is located in Nebraska about halfway between Lincoln and Omaha. The park has a plethora of activities available for visitors, such as hiking, horseback riding, a miniature golf course, and a water park with lots of water-related activities. The park also has lots of camping opportunities for people with tents, RVs, and those who just want to stay in cabins. We had a tent camping site, which was quite nice, with plenty of room and a lovely tree overhanging the tent.

Perhaps the most well-known feature of the park is the large tower that visitors can climb. The tower overlooks a scenic area of the Platte River as it meanders through the Nebraska plains. The view from the top is quite lovely, and we certainly recommend going up the tower if you visit.

We enjoyed our time at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. We were able to experience the environment of the Midwestern plains, see a breathtaking, bird’s-eye view of the Platte River, and relax in a nice campsite. We recommend staying here or just paying a visit if you visit Nebraska.
