A coffee shop chain in New York City that has been popping up in quite a few neighborhoods (including ours just a few weeks ago) throughout NYC is Joe Coffee. We have been to a couple now and the ones we have visited have had a very sleek, clean look with minimal furniture, light wood, metal chairs, and pale colors and accents. The couple we have been to didn’t have wifi, so we weren’t been able to stay for too long and do homework, but we have been able to grab a cup of joe! They also have a couple few treats to eat so you are a snack with your coffee. Joe Coffee is known for high quality coffee and they actually roast some of their own coffee in Red Hook, Brooklyn (right by Ikea!).They also offer coffee catering and the opportunity to buy their coffee packaged, as well as equipment. Additionally, a unique feature of Joe Coffee is that they offer various classes about coffee and brewing. Joe Coffee is encouraging the growing trend of not just having a cup of coffee, but making each cup of coffee a piece of art.
