A little local Williamsburg eatery is The Anchored Inn. It is located on Waterbury Street, a couple blocks from the corner of Grand and Bushwick off the L train. We went one evening with a couple of friends who live in the area for a quick bite to eat and some drinks. The Anchored Inn is known primarily as a place to grab a drink and they have a variety of both mixed drinks and beer. Besides drinks they additionally have a standard pub menu with decent food. We ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and burger, both with fries and found them to be quite tasty. The restaurant has both an indoor seating area, as well as an outdoor area. We sat on the outside where there are several tables. Inside the emphasis is the bar, but there are eating tables throughout as well. The inside of the restaurant has an edgy vibe with all black walls, posters for various bands, dark wood tables, and metal seats. In the back of the bar there are a couple of pool tables and classic video games to create an ideal environment for gathering with some friends, having some drinks, and just hanging out.
