Dellarocco’s Pizza is located in Brooklyn Heights, in a small building that, rather than feeling cramped, is cozy and warm. The restaurant is clean and modern, with lots of white tiling, making the restaurant nice and bright. The wood-fired pizza oven is located in the back of restaurant, visible to the whole room, which adds a bit more romance, warmth, and homeyness to the experience. The menu features several appetizers, salads, and calzones, but mostly pizzas. There are 9 pizzas with red sauce and 15 with white sauce, each with a few different toppings, featuring varieties of cheeses, meats, and few different vegetables. As most wood-fired pizzas, they are thin with slightly charred crusts and look very elegant. We tried one red pizza, the Arrabbiata with mozzarella and soppressata, and one white pizza, the Four Cheese with mozzarella, gorgonzola, provolone, and parmigiana. Both were perfectly balanced, with each bite melting in your mouth and full of flavor. The pizza was so good that we’ve already gotten pizza from Dellarocco’s again, and the second time was just as good as the first. We highly recommend trying Dellarocco’s if you’re in the Brooklyn Heights area.
