Near NYU, is KIIN Thai Eatery, another local NYC restaurant that we decided check out. The eatery has a rather inconspicuous front, but once you are inside the restaurant is filled with a light, airy feel. The inside decor contains white wooden walls and white chairs, with light wood tables and artwork along the walls. Per our usual, we ordered Pad Thai; however, it was quite different than any we have had before. It was more spicy and the flavoring was unlike any Pad Thai we have tried or even made ourselves. KIIN is known for being primarily Northern and Central Thai cuisine so perhaps that is the difference. They are also known for offering traditional Thai cuisine that you are unable to find typically in an American Thai restaurant-so for those seeking out some new eats, KIIN may be ideal. The prices were decent and they also offer a variety of lunch specials and drinks specials, making it ideal prices for undergraduate or graduate students in the area. We enjoyed trying somewhere new in the area and will continue to seek out new, delicious eats!
