Mistletoe State Park is near Augusta, GA and right along the South Carolina border in Appling, GA. The park is located on a rather large lake, making it a prime spot for fishing, boating, and other water activities. Many of the park’s visitors come for the water, and it plays a large role in the state park as its focal point. However, there are plenty of opportunities for exploring on land, as the park offers camping, hiking, and birding. The park also has shelters, playgrounds, and cottages for visitors’ enjoyment. When we visited, we went hiking along the Beach Trail, which gave us nice views of the water while also getting to experience a soft trail in a beautiful forest. Mistletoe State Park has a little something for almost everyone, so it is a nice visit for anyone wanting to spend a little time in the outdoors.
