EATaliano is an Italian restaurant in the Druid Hills neighborhood in the recently renovated Brighten Park at the corner of Briarcliff and Druid Hills. The restaurant itself is clean and modern, with fresh paint and plenty of sleek wood, metal, and glass. There are some homey elements though, like the fireplace on the patio that looks fun in the summer and cozy in the winter. The decor lends a casual environment to the restaurant, but the food is anything but casual. The service at EATaliano was excellent; we had an attentive waiter who was happy to answer any questions we had. The menu itself boasts several house cocktails, along with a nice wine and liquor list, while the food consists of standard Italian-American dishes, such as pastas, pizzas, and calzones. All of the food is made with fresh ingredients and are well-made representatives of their styles. We had the chicken Florentine and the #8 pizza, sharing the two dishes between the two of us. Both dishes were delicious, and our only regret was that we couldn’t have more.
We went to EATaliano expecting to have a pseudo-fast food experience (not that that’s a bad thing) but were surprised and delighted to find such a wonderful place just down the street. Both our service and our food was superb, and our experience at EATaliano made us only want to return again.
