Mother’s is a small neighborhood bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The pub is located in a narrow storefront where the bar takes up much of the room, but the result is a rather cozy atmosphere, rather than a crowded one, accentuated by the warm interior. The weather was ideal, however, so we opted to sit on their small patio behind the restaurant. There are plenty of plants and small trees, so it feels as though you’re in a little oasis tucked away in the city.

We had already eaten dinner, so we chose to order beer and a basket of tater tots. Mother’s has a nice little tap list with several local options, so we got to try some new NYC area beers. Our tater tots came out to us shortly, complete with a special chipotle dipping sauce that gave just the right amount of zest to our cylindrical spuds. Although we didn’t eat dinner, it should be noted that Mother’s is well-known for its burgers.

Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty dinner, snacks with friends, or an after work beer, Mother’s is a nice spot for hanging out and quality comfort foods and drinks.
